“I think we’ve all been foolish. I think we’re all to blame,”
…
“President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today.”— President Trump on 1) the reason for tense US/Russian relations and 2) Putin’s response to allegations of election hacking.
Trump’s gaslighting knows no bounds. He says that it’s the Mueller investigation that has driven a wedge between the U.S. and Russia. Not the Russian invasion and annexation of Crimea. Not the invasion of eastern Ukraine when the people tried to ditch the Mocow-leaning President. Not the hacking that Putin even admitted to.
Yes, that’s right. Putin admitted to hacking the DNC emails. He admitted it to Fox’s Chris Wallace. His defense was that they (the Russians) didn’t alter the emails, to which Chris Wallace responded “So you stole real money, not counterfeit money?”. I have to give credit where credit is due – a Fox News interviewer acting like a journalist is not something I expected. When the propaganda arm of the administration turns against the administration, you know a line has been crossed. We started to see it with the families being separated at the border and placing kids in “camps”. Now there are several Fox News reporters speaking out against Trump and even members of Trump’s Party (and, make no mistake, it IS Trump’s Party).
Sure, all of our nation’s intelligence services know that the Russians hacked the election. Trump’s defense? That it was only “3 or 4”, despite the fact that the other agencies agree – they simply didn’t “sign the letter” as they weren’t directly investigating. But, more telling, is that the Republican Party knows it – the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee came to that conclusion.
This should come as no surprise. Trump showed his affinity for Putin during the campaign, telling a Russian agent that he’d drop sanctions.
Now, even Trump’s allies at Fox are criticizing him. When Neil Cavuto calls Trump “disgusting”, you do a double-take to make sure you’re not dreaming.
If Trump loses Fox, who does he have?
